Barge Hold Example

Accessing barge and ship holds can be time consuming and costly. Water sometimes needs to be pumped out, confined space protocols implemented and scaffolding installed to observe high ceilings. The Elios 2 can be dropped through port holes, inspecting roofs, walls and other support structures efficiently and safely. We look for:

  • Cracks

  • Rust

  • Bent support members

  • Paint chipping or missing

Cealing inspections

Observing the roof of a ship or barge hold can be difficult, requiring setting up of scaffolding to inspect support structures. The Elios can quickly fly to elevated positions and observe cracks or other defects of concern.

RPAS dropped into the hold from the deck to inspect conditions.
