Confined Space Inspections

INCreasing Efficiency and Safety

Keep your workforce safe by having SuavAir perform remote visual inspections. SuavAir has the tools and technology to conduct inspections indoors and in confined spaces that would otherwise be time consuming and expensive. Traditional drones use GPS technology for stable flight, making them useless for indoor spaces where minimal or no GPS signals exist. Our drone uses infrared sensors to determine it’s place in 3D space, as well as a protective cage to resist impacts against objects. Equipped with it’s own powerful light source, high definition camera and thermal sensor, all inspections are video recorded allowing for playback and sharing with clients. Flights also create a 3D point cloud to accurately pinpoint problem locations during the survey and distance measurements within the model.

Avoid having to send people into confined spaces and setting up scaffolding. Our surveys will provide video recordings of the entire inspection, pulling out points of interest for the client and giving a reference in 3D space of any issues.

Practical Uses for RPAS Inspections

There are many different scenarios where using an RPAS system within structures makes sense. These include:

  • Barge and Ship Holds

  • Smoke Stacks

  • Storage Tanks

  • Silos

  • Sewers

  • Underground Mining

  • Search and Rescue within Collapsed structures

  • Areas that contain harmful gasses or chemicals

Video Example

Video example shows a flight to inspect some cracked support beams within a barge hold. The map was created and can be viewed on the left to know where the drone is within 3D space.
